RTC Webdesign [Salma Ahmed and Klaus Bung]:
I had the good fortune to stumble across this small and friendly Blackburn company in March 2003 when I decided, on the spur of the moment, to trust Klaus and his presentation and to plunge for the most expensive [and comprehensive] level of service he had to offer.
My thought was: Why should I or my staff tie ourselves up in knots over the technicalities of creating a website or keeping it up to date just to save a few pounds, when there are specialists who can do it for us, faster and better than we will ever be able to do.
Meanwhile my staff and I can concentrate on teaching and running the school [which Klaus and Salma could never do as well as we can]. My staff and I focus all our energies on getting good work out of our children, taking them to exciting venues outside the school and inviting interesting outsiders into the school.
Then all we have to do is to send e-mails with descriptions and photographs of the children's work, of special events and of newsletters to Klaus and Salma, and they place it on our website.
When there are technical problems or we want something special, we just pass it on to them and let them sort it out. They speak and understand our language and do not insist on gobbledygook, something that I find particularly useful and refreshing.
Since theirs is a small company, very much dedicated to the welfare of our school, taking a pride in our achievements, we always speak to the same person, in our case Klaus. He knows what we want or need, sometimes before we express it.
Sometimes he points out mistakes: 'You seem to know our school better than we do,' I said to him on one such occasion.
When there is an opportunity to do so, Salma and Klaus sometimes add interesting and delightful bits of information to what our teachers have produced. They are not only technically good but they also think like good teachers and focus on the needs of our children and their parents.
RTC Webdesign is a company which is as ambitious in their sphere as we are in ours, and that makes us excellent partners.
